A British lady who alleged she was gang-raped by a group of Israeli youngsters at a hotel has been arrested on suspicion of constructing a false allegation.
The 19-year-old lady recanted her declare that 12 Israelis gang-raped her at a resort in Paralimni, Cyprus during questioning, based on news agencies.
The group, aged from 15 to 20, denied the claim.
“As I’ve argued throughout the process, there was no rape in Cyprus,” stated defense lawyer Nir Jeslovich, who showed a number of the suspects in the court, in response to the Jerusalem Post. “The younger men who went on a trip that grew to become a nightmare will go home today, and everybody will return to their homes and families.”
Five of the group have been released a late last week after no DNA evidence linked them to the alleged attack. The remaining seven had been sent home on Sunday.

One law enforcement official informed The Associated Press the lady voluntarily recanted throughout questioning just after midnight, saying there had been sexual contact with the suspects however she wasn’t raped.
The lady allegedly informed investigators she filed a rape report as a result of she was “angry and insulted” that several of the boys allegedly recorded footage of her having sex with them, the state-run Cyprus News Agency reported.
